PATCH TEST

A patch test determines a safe and effective laser setting for your skin and hair type. We require a minimum of 24/48 hours to do the patch test before undergoing your first laser hair removal treatment to ensure no adverse reaction.
The test will be free of charge, and it will take only a few minutes. The skin usually recovers quickly, and you shouldn’t experience discomfort afterwards.

Pre-Treatment instructions:

• A medical history is taken at the consultation, but we need to be informed of any changes after the consultation (pregnancy, surgery, or any new medication)
• You will need to prepare the area of treatment beforehand. The area must be shaved, clean and free from any cosmetic product on the day of the treatment.
• You are advised to avoid the sun, sunbed or tanning for 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after the laser treatment. In addition, a sun cream of SPF 50 will
need to be applied whenever exposed to the sun through the treatment to avoid any sun pigmentation.
• You will need to avoid waxing for 4 weeks before the treatment as the melanin-containing hair must be present in the follicles to be targeted by the
laser light.
